A short ferry ride across the harbour from Auckland’s CBD, Maritime Point is a new concept for the well-established area of Birkenhead Point. The focus is on premium quality, offering a relaxed, low maintenance, urban but coastal lifestyle.

Capturing the elegant beauty of traditional residences, each of the 11 homes in this boutique village complex offers the quality and contemporary style of an inner city apartment. They are in an exclusive heritage location moments from the water.

Come to a place where you can enjoy just relaxing with friends soaking up the sun and beautiful views across Le Roys Bush from your deck. Maybe wander down to the water where you can take in the Auckland Harbour action, hop on the ferry and revel at the glistening views across to the city, or stroll along the road to the award-winning Eight.2 restaurant to sample their famous degustation menu.

Only 11 of these beautiful homes are available so call now to arrange a time to view the onsite showroom. The planned start date for Maritime Point is later in 2014 and they are due for completion in spring 2015.

Collaboration for Excellence
Maritime Point was designed by architect Paul Francis for Aptus, renowned for previous collaborations on successful projects like the fabulous Centro in Takapuna. The classic villa design reflects the character of surrounding homes, with handsome weatherboard exteriors specifically modeled on the former Post Office, with its quirky eyelids over windows, across the road. Each home turns its back on the busy street to soak up the sun and tranquility of the adjacent kauri forest. Residents enjoy the outlook from an elevated position and north-west-facing decks that measure from 8m² to 19m². Some homes have leafy courtyards in front. Two, three or four bedroom villas are available, all on three levels, with garaging underneath.

The smaller homes have single garages plus offstreet parking while the larger homes have double garages on the lower level. There are also 5 visitor parks.

In some, the fourth bedroom is on the same level as the garage and, in others, substantial storage rooms add versatility as media rooms, capacious wine cellars or gyms. It’s up to you. Spacious master bedrooms have walk-in robes and in the larger homes, which have three bathrooms, there are his and hers dressing rooms, plus second balconies from bedrooms as well.

Floorplans start at 115m² for the smallest two bedroom home and the largest four bedroom home is 165m². They range in price from $925,000 to $1,395,000. The body corporate is surprisingly affordable. Note: floor areas subject to change.
Impeccable Contemporary Interiors
Traditional villa exteriors reflect the character of the neighbourhood. But interiors are thoroughly modern with generous stud heights and rooms filled with natural light. They are also warm thanks to double glazing, insulation and gas fires that create a cosy ambience in living areas. Continuous gas hot water ensures you’ll never run out at bath-time.

Impeccable interior design by Bridget Thornton lets you customise your home to suit your individuality. Choose from light or dark colour options for European oak timber floors and plush Feltex Triesta carpets - a plush cut pile mix of wool and synthetic that gives stain protection, colourfastness, softness and durability.

High quality kitchens feature stainless steel undermounted sinks inside Caesarstone benchtops in a selection of Piatra Grey or Frosty Carrina. High gloss acrylic cabinetry has a mirror-like finish and is super scratch resistant. You’ll love the latest Fisher & Paykel built-in oven with gas cooktops for super fast heat.

Then, there are the world famous, superior Vitra fittings that create groundbreaking design concepts in the bathrooms.

All things considered, these are no ordinary homes. They are selling for about the same as the average home in the area, but they are far from average, with total quality incorporated into every little detail.
